Superskate Advanced Hockey Development Association is a non-profit association incorporated in 1996.  Its purpose then was to maintain powerskating classes which were previously operated by figure skating clubs - the two combined making this program over 35 years old!!

Over the years, the program has grown significantly with a current number of participants topping 500+ per year.  The Association offers classes and camps throughout the year ranging from Learn To Skate to Adult.  Our commitment is to QUALITY skill development to ALL ages and ALL levels at reasonable prices.  This means that we put maximum effort to the on-ice experience and are extremely careful with how we spend administrative dollars.  The end result is a FANTASTIC group of instructors providing a top-notch program, without the overhead of a fancy office or expensive online booking system.  NEW this season is our Skate to Play program which aims to remove barriers and help later starters so that ALL are welcome!

Superskate is able to provide this quality by utilizing an excellent instructor in Tammy Coley of Edges Professional Skating Instruction who manages all of our programs and shares our values.  She has a wealth of experience, and the Association is proud to be affiliated with her.  For details on the programs we offer, click on the Edges tab below.

Superskate takes our role in the broader community very seriously and is extremely proud to be a partner in The 24-hour Charity Challenge:  Kids vs Coaches for the Matt Cook Foundation. The 11th Annual game took place on April 8th & 9th, 2022, and we have raised almost $500,000 to date to help young adults fighting cancer.  In addition, Superskate is committed to helping families in the community with a number of different measures including scholarships and other assistance.

Lastly, Superskate is a founding member of the Canadian Powerskating Association as well as the Canadian Association of Power Skating and Hockey Development, and we are proud to be part of supporting power skating standards both provincially and nationally.
